Wal-Mart Offers 30 days of Prescriptions for Obamacare Enrollees

ObamaCare Update – January 1 2014

obamacare-updatesWal-Mart Stores Inc said on Tuesday it will provide a month’s supply of certain prescriptions at no upfront cost to participants of U.S. President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law who have not yet received a plan identification number.

This update from Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, and America’s largest employer comes a day after Walgreen Co instituted a similar practice.

The point to keep in mind is that Wal-Mart said it will fill up to a 30-day supply of prescriptions through the end of January for their customers that have enrolled in Obamacare, but have not gotten an ID  from an insurer yet.

Keep In Mind

For all the negative press coverage you might be reading over the last few months about Obamacare keep in mind this. Millions of new customers are at stake for American corporations and insurance companies. Despite conservative talking heads and the beltway media saying otherwise there is just too much money at stake for these huge companies not to compete.
